  4. The information in this document applies to customers who
  5. have registered a previous version of Almanac.  New
  6. customers should refer to the information contained in the
  7. REGISTER.TXT file.

  10. Changes to Previous Product Paths
  11. =================================
  12. In the past, Almanac has been offered to customers as a
  13. Basic (shareware) package as well as a Premium (retail)
  14. product.  The goal was to provide the product and price
  15. desired by customers with varying needs.
  16.  
  17. The expanding features of Almanac and feedback from our
  18. customers has prompted us to make a few changes in our
  19. product packaging.
  20.  
  21. The previous Basic and Premium registrations are being
  22. renamed to the Shareware and Commercial packages
  23. respectively.  Absolutley NO benefits are being removed
  24. from either product path.
  25.  
  26. Businesses and Organizations
  27. ============================
  28. The Shareware registration is only available to individuals.
  29. Organizations who are currently registered as Basic
  30. customers will be converted to Commercial customers when
  31. they upgrade to version 3.5.

  33. Premium Customers
  34. =================
  35. Upgrade notification has been sent by mail to all Almanac
  36. 3.x Premium customers who purchased Almanac 3.x before
  37. June 1, 1994.

  39. IMPORTANT!!!: If you are a Premium customer who purchased
  40. Almanac 3.x before June 1, 1994, and you have NOT received
  41. your upgrade notice, please contact our Sales Office at
  42. 800-777-7687 (U.S. and Canada only.  All other countries
  43. please call 909-590-8522, or FAX to 909-590-2202).

  47. Shareware Upgrade Pricing
  48. =========================
  49. The cost of upgrading your current Basic registration to a
  50. Shareware registration for Almanac 3.5 can be determined
  51. from the following table:

  64. ALL users who are upgrading can elect to purchase a user
  65. manual at a special upgrade price of $4 plus shipping.

  68. Credit Cards

  70. Any customer who would like to use their VISA, MasterCard,
  71. American Express, Discover, or Diners Club credit card
  72. can order by calling 1-800-777-7687 in the U.S. and Canada.

  75. Payment Terms

  77. We can accept checks and money orders (MUST be payable
  78. through a U.S. bank), in addition to the credit cards
  79. mentioned above.  Purchase orders are accepted from
  80. major companies, governments, and universities.

  82. Requests will not be processed without proper tax or
  83. shipping charges.  Credit card orders will be adjusted.

  85. Upgrade requests from outside the United States

  87. Upgrade requests will be processed upon receipt of the
  88. current equivalent of U.S. funds in check or money order
  89. (must be drawn or paid through a U.S. bank) or credit
  90. card request (subject to the currency exchange rates used
  91. by your credit card company).

  96. Almanac is licensed on a per user basis.  The license grants
  97. the user the right to install and use the software on one or
  98. more computers so long as the total number of users does not
  99. exceed the license quantity.
